Features of Hydraulic Through Conduit Gate Valves:

1. The floating seats can automatically discharge when the pressure in the middle cavity is too high, and protect the valve safety (see the figure below). When the middle cavity pressure P3 (Pb) is greater than the channel pressure, the middle cavity pressure will release pressure to the channel. When the channel pressure P1 (Pu)> P2 (Pd), the middle cavity pressure is released to the channel at P1 (Pu) side. When the channel pressure P1 (Pu) = P2 (Pd), the middle cavity pressure can be released on both sides of the channel.

2. Technical features of the stem sealing structure

A triple seal structure of O-ring, sealing packing and sealing grease are adopted for stem sealing to ensure that no leakage from the stem sealing pair. It can realize double sealing of packing and O-ring and online replacement of packing.

3. The seals are stainless steel with flexible graphite, same high quality low-carbon stainless steel 316L for body and bonnet to be used for seals or special corrosion resistant alloy designated by the user.

5. The sealing pair of seat and gate is made of cemented carbide metal-to-metal seal and PTFE soft seal. When the soft sealing material is burnt out, the finely processed cemented carbide sealing surface is tightly attached under the action of the spring and the differential pressure of the medium, combined to form a metal-to-metal hard surface sealing.

Quality Control Activities

1.  Type and accuracy

Test pressure measuring devices shall be either pressure gauges or pressure transducers which are accurate to within ±2,0% of the full-scale reading.

2.   Gauge range

Pressure measurements shall be made between 25% and 75% of the full pressure range of the measuring device.

3.   Calibration procedure

Pressure-measuring devices shall be periodically recalibrated with a master pressure-measuring device or a deadweight tester at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the full pressure scale.

4.Temperature–measuring devices

Devices for measuring temperature, if required, shall be capable of indicating and recording temperature fluctuations of 3°C (5°F).
